Selecting options/equipment on my 2017 C7 convertible. I currently have a 2014 base NRB Vert, 2LT, M7, navigation. The 2017 order guide shows, magnetic ride also includes silver painted 20" & 19" wheels; option cost = $3,495. Are tires the same as with Z51 option? Are the brakes the same as the base car or have larger diameter rotors on the front wheels?
I know the navigation package includes the PDR; option cost $1,795. Deciding on color; Long Beach Red (premium), Admiral Blue or Black. Top will be black with matching black interior like my current car.
Magnetic Selective Ride Control, includes Z51-style spoiler, (XFJ) P245/35ZR19 front and P285/30ZR20 rear, performance, summer-only, run flat tires and 19” front and 20” rear wheels (select from Q7S, Q7E, Q7T or QCC wheels, unless ordered with ZLD/ZLE/ZLG Design Packages which include R86 or R87 wheels - see package descriptions)

Having just returned home from a 3800 mile trip from Bowling Green and a museum delivery I can unequivocally say that if you buy a standard Stingray it must include the Mag ride option. Having driven a standard C-6 coupe for 11+ years it is well worth the money. We bought LBR with NPP as well. Great touring combination. wheels and tires the same as Z51. Stopped on the way home at WCC and swapped for Chrome.
The only other change I will make is the Z51 anti-sways. Won't make a great deal of difference on sport mode but will in Touring.

Hope to do business with you, let us know, entering orders as we speak...
Yes on the NON Z51 car , that is how Mag ride is achieved, with the bigger tires....it does not have the Z51 brakes though......if you are looking for a cruiser...the NON Z51 car without mag ride is a fantastic ride and great value....a little more meat on those tires too.
Thanks for the information. I thought the brakes were the same (really couldn't tell for sure) and from the order guide the wheels/tires appeared to be the same as the Z51. Waiting to actually see Admiral Blue in person. In no real hurry but will definitely trade 2014 C7 on the 2017.
I try to select options that enhance my Corvette experience still keeping the MSRP in reason. I don't keep my Corvette for more than three years, balancing act of selecting options verses depreciation. Must have options; Convertible (really not an option) M7, 2LT, navigation. Exactly like my current C7. Car is mainly a cruiser spiced with occasional spirited driving. I would go with magnetic ride, GM added pricey wheels and tires plus a spoiler that I don't like. I just want the suspension enhancement - $3,495 for shocks!
I have never paid extra for a premium color. I have passed up the metallic berry red color before (early as 1985), I chose alternate colors; silver and Victory Red. This time I think I am going to bite the bullet and go with Long Beach Red. Unless Admiral Blue wins me over.

Certainly is an awesome color. Black trim complements the color. Currently Long Beach Red is in the lead.
Long Beach is a nice color in the bright sun, but unfortunately it's one of those colors that doesn't look nearly as good under overcast skies, it looks more brown then. I feel the same way about my LeMans Blue C6 though, in the sun it looks amazing, under cloudy skies it looks too dark and too dull for my liking. My next Corvette will be white, it looks good under all lighting conditions and will save me the headache of constantly having to clean every speck of dust off it too like I've had to do with my last two Vettes (the C5 that I had for 9 years was black)
I went with a 2016 LBR z51 2lt vert a8 black wheels, black top and dark badges kalahari on 2lt it's really black with kalahari trim also mag ride. Kerbeck has 6 LBR 2016 verts with good discounts but I went with a local dealer and ordered what i wanted. Msrp at $75000. If I don't like the rims I will replace them when I need new tires
My current C7 is Night Race Blue. LBR has the same hue and changeability as NRB. I really like that feature and keeps the paint color interesting. I had a white 1995 C4 convertible with a black top and interior, I don't think I will go with white again. I really like highly metalic colors, they really pop in the sun. Working up a new car order is loads of fun.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
