Congrats, I have another 1.5 years before I'm done. I remember when I paid off my C5, the feeling was great. Now you have an asset as well as an extra $XXX.XX staying in your bank account. I really couldn't be happier for you.

I have lots of reasons to get up in the morning, and owing people payments will never be one of them.

I've had a lot of friends use this same statement, and I've found one similarity among all of them. They are slaves to a routine, so the way they cope with the routine, is to have something that justifies the routine. Funny part is though, they are such slaves to the routine, they often don't fully enjoy the items they pay for.

Nothing wrong with that way of life...it's how 90% of americans live and sustain. They give a huge portion of their limited time on this planet, to building someone elses dream, in return for a small piece of pie.

Cut all those payments lose, along with the routine, and happiness will result much more so than going to work all day to pay for stuff that sits home. Just my opinion.

Didn't quote you to be negative...your statement just made my mind go...

When mine is paid off, I'll be in that frame of mind.

I'm glad a few of them gave a huge portion of their limited time on this planet to becoming LEO, Military, First Responders, Firefighters, Doctors, Nurses etc, in return for a small piece of the pie, so that the rest of us can enjoy the pursuit of our dreams.

What? You didn't pay cash for your car like most here? WOW, can't believe this! (tongue in cheek)

Congrats on paying your car off. I don't keep cars long enough to ever see this. Well, once but it was a Plymouth Neon so I don't include that
