You might try posting this in the Northern California section. There are quite a few forum members out that way. Good luck!

Evidently, California sucks (your wheels into the curb).

Actually, I like it, kind of miss it.

I posted earlier that your dealer usually has a specialist that comes by the lot and does this work for them. I paid $100 for a wheel and it came out great!
Here is the process they used:

Took a turn too sharply leaving church parking lot and made first ding on my C7 black wheels. I started Googling service providers, watched a couple of Youtube DIY videos and then called my local GM dealer who said they have a mobile guy who comes once a week to do both paint and wheels on the used cars they take in on trade.

I just got back from their lot and they did a really nice job that took an hour, never had to take the wheel off of the C7, or even deflate the tire. It cost $100 and it has a one year warranty.

The steps they used are as follows:

1. Clean all of the brake dust from the wheel.

2. Use a stone grinding wheel and various sand paper grits to return the rash to smooth metal.

3. Spray an adhesion product to the bare alloy to be painted.

4. Paint it black with a clear coat infused paint.

5. Spray a blending agent to remove any possible lines in the repair with the rest of the untouched wheel.

6. Used a heat gun to cure the job and warned me not to wash the wheel while doing a car wash for the next few days.

Look below to see a picture of the finished job with a room heater doing some additional curing of the job. I started with a 6 inch and a 4 inch rash on the rim that looked like I had run a saw blade in a reciprocal saw and let it hop all over the rim in two places.

Take away is call your dealer and use the folks that they trust and recommend to do the work if you have this happen. I can now look at my C7 again and see the beauty not just the curb rash.

I agree with just checking with your local dealer on who they use for their wheel repair.
