I have never been able to input any destination to the GM crap-u-nav either by voice or display. It can never find it. Finds things in other states though!
Only way is to have the co-pilot use On-star phone app which works really well. Same issue with my other OEM gps. No problem with a $100 Garmin though.

If the car senses a passenger, it will allow you to access the entire nav system, including typing in the address. If there is no passenger, it will only allow you to go a couple steps deep into the menu, and one of the things it won't let you do is type an address while moving.

That's halfway acceptable haha, to know my passenger can input the next address while we're moving. That's a good compromise because my current car locks out the keyboard input at all times when driving.
My current car also has voice recognition for the GPS but it works only 1/2 the time, and it's very irritating when it doesn't understand what I say. Does the voice recognition on the C7 work well?

It works very well. I use it often. I mumble a lot and it still works.

A good safety feature IMO. Using voice commands will get the job done.

That's good to hear, there is nothing more irritating when driving than to speak clearly and have the NAV voice recognition constantly repeat the wrong number or street name haha.
