Default Clear side marker recommendations.

I'd like to switch to clear side makers and would like to hear from people that have. Where did you get them, who is the manufacturer, how is the quality, etc.

Thanks!

Oracle LED side markers... You can get them clear, tinted, or body color-matched.

Had them on my GS, and got a set for my C7. I got the tinted markers, then applied Niteshades and clear.

The fit is pretty darn good.

They look cool. Thought about getting color matched for my SG coupe. The website lists lots of options but not Shark Grey. Bummer.

Default I did the clear's on the front...

and left the reds in the back. I like it that way!

Bought mine on evil-bay from an outfit named "Clearz". be aware, I had to shave the existing LED light fixtures from the factory lenses and epoxy them to the new clear lenses. Not difficult, but not a simple plug-n-play either.

+1 for Oracles. There are fit problems documented. They are a tad thicker than the OEM ones. I got mine ghosted and painted to match body color. Oracle themselves turned them around incredibly fast and they matched the paint perfectly. Just not cheap!

There are many threads here about them. Some rewire them so they are always on.

Check out RPI Designs. They sell the ones made by GS Creations. They have clear and smoked ones for the side markers and the rear reflectors. I have them on my C6 and will be putting them on my C7 as soon as I get it.

....just did the Oracles...I tinted them myself...very tricky to get a uniform coverage so the light is evenly displayed when on. good news is, if you screw it up just sand off and respray. test with a 9 volt battery or on the disassembled car. buff and polish when done. Spray them in the box they come with and you will get a cool side lighting effect along the edges. I'll make a DIY thread one of these days....

I just got a set of these oracles and the fit is absolutely horrible. On the rears the when the top and bottom clips are fully engaged, the housing is not even close to being held in tight. Rattles like a can of paint! The center clip doesnt latch at all and the housings are thicker than stock. I can not mount these to my car and I dont see how they can sell these things. I am not an idiot and have done tons of mods to my vettes over the years that require some adjustments or modifications but these are the worst I have ever seen. The video on Oracle website mentions the early versions may have fit problems and you may have to sand the center clip area. I bought these a couple weeks ago so I would think they would have the issues resolved at this point. So even if I were to sand away on the center clip area the other 2 clips are VERY loose and are they going to take these back after I sand on them? Not going to risk finding out. Is it possible I got a bad set? Maybe but these things are horrible.

Could have been a bad set... Mine fit well, do not rattle and didn't require any modification. As stated, they are just a bit thicker than the OEM markers.

+++1 For Oracle Halo LEDs. I put the Carbon Flash with tinted lens on mine. They look great, and the LEDs are brilliant!
As mentioned above, they are slightly thicker than stock, but I had no fitment issues.

I did return the rears because of the terrible fit. We will see if a new set is better. The fronts fit fine! Look awsome.

Can you post any pics? I've seen body-colored, but never Carbon Flash.

Nice. How's the fit? I saw a close up of the lights in another thread and it looked like they stuck our and don't sit flush like the OEM lights.

They are not exactly flush because they are a bit thicker, but the fit is perfect. Snapped right in place with no modifications. I will try to get you a closeup when I have a moment.

Ok, so I received a new set of rear markers and they were better but not great. I found that they clicked in place but if I pushed out on the clips from behind they would pop out. The center clip would not clip at all. When I spread out the clips to make them a little wider they actually worked great!
So here is what I did, I wrapped the housing around the clips with a wet rag and took a heat gun and heated up just the V end of the clips. When still hot I spread the clip out just a little so it would catch the rear fascia better. The center clip now latched nicely and so did all the others. They latched much better and I could not push the housing out from behind without squeezing the clips. Dont spread them out too much, all they needed was a little. This should work for anyone having this issue.

Default Oracle Ghost Laguna Blue

Front ones fit fine. The rears needed to be trimmed a bit at the clips..One needed some 3m tape as well..

Overall a bit expensive but the look is amazing. The fit was 9 on the front and a 7 or 8 on the back after some trimming.

Still bad *** though!!

Nice! I wish I would have gone the whole ghost route but happy anyway. I like those X51 decals on the side cove vents. Where did you get those?
