I had a BMW 535 with a heated steering wheel and when its cold outside-it is heaven when the steering wheel heats up-one of the best options out there IMHO.

I'm half wondering if the 2016 Camaro steering wheel would be a direct fit. It has the heating function built into the wheel. Not sure if the frame is the same..
We have heated steering wheels on our SRX and ATS but would not need one on the Vettes as they are stored during the Winter months. I can see it as a stand alone option or maybe a part of the 3LT group. Keeping the performance at a reasonable cost would be my priority as well.
My VW routes AC chilled air into the glove box through an opening that can be closed or open. It's a nice inexpensive way to give you a refrigerated compartment.
My Infiniti DD has the heated steering wheel and it is great for temps below 30 degrees, not needed above that temp, and IMO, certainly not needed for a Vette that I never drive below 40 degrees.

Some of us drive our Corvettes below freezing temperatures and after ice cream anything heated is welcome.
I just bought a Focus ST ... it has heated steering wheel (and seats too) .. and the steering wheel gets really hot really fast. Oh .. and the seats get really hot too ... not like my C7.
My wife's Ford Explorer has heated wheel A/C Heat Seats and 7 seat massagers
My wife's Ford Explorer has heated steering wheel A/C Heat Seats and 7 seat massagers (4 for your back 3 for Seat bottom) GREAT OPTIONS.
Wish I could order in my next C7.
Also can programmed/set softness or firmness of the seat back or bottom
I think it should have a heated steering based on the fact that it's a $50K-$100K car. I drive my car until the first snow flakes hit, so it can get damn cold. Once you have a heated steering wheel in a car, it's one of those things that you can never go back after having it.
It's the little things that keep us just that little bit behind the competition - road noise sound deadening, heated steering wheel, that 2 mm of padding on the dash between the plastic & leather - dumb stuff.
This car is damn near perfect. GM can make it perfect with just the tiniest extra bit of effort.
Had/have them on a truck and SUV. Not going to lie, I like them... especially in the winter. Not planning to drive my Z in the winter as I have other options, and the tires aren't up to it, so not really fretting the toasty reins.
