How many wives enjoy the stick
No, this is not dirty, so get your mind out of the gutters.
I just want to see if my wife is just odd or many others enjoy the M7. In fact when I ordered my C7 a couple weeks ago, I gave her the choice between the A8 or M7. No hesitation what's so ever, the M7. She said a sports car isn't a sports car unless it's a manual. After almost 30 years of marriage, she still puts a smile on my face.

My wife's last car was a 5-spd. She wanted it because she noticed it had slightly better gas mileage than the auto. She won't be driving a stick again, and I have zero inclination to buy an auto. Guess she won't be driving the new car.

My wife has had 7 Corvettes to include two 6M Z06's. Her current ride is a 6M Camaro 2SS. BTW, our daughters first Corvette was also a 6M.

My wife can't even understand how a manual transmission works. Every time I start an analogy of riding a bike, can't pedal fast enough, need the next smaller gear, etc she just rolls her eyes and walks away. The good news is she'll never drive my car.

My buddy is planning to upgrade from a C6 Z06 to a C7 Z06 and is considering an automatic. His girl is adamant that he gets a manual (she drives his cars)
My girl agrees that a manual is the only thing for a sports car. If you are a professional racer who can benefit from the 0.1 second faster shifts then the auto is the way to go, but for us it's only manuals.

Well, since you asked......
4 or maybe 5 Corvettes ago, I had the dealer (Criswell) line up identical cars side by side... one was a manual, one was an Auto.... wife already knew how to drive a stick...... so that, and the next several Vettes were all sticks.... Loved them all....
Now, this time around, I was the one to say.....hey, should we try the A8 with paddle shifters??? ...... both of us are enjoying it

I grew up with sticks, have owned several, and put 70,000 miles on a C6 Z06, so I have nothing against it, by any means, but I did choose an A6 when I bought my C7.
I only drive it in M. Best of both worlds, IMO.

My wife loves to shift my stick...C7. Not the best at it but she has fun rowing the gears and everyone at her job ask for rides and just love the sound as she runs through 1-2-3 before slamming on the breaks at the end of the parking lot. lol

Not much of an interest. She never drives the C7 because of this. Not to mention she has no idea how to use it. I tried teaching her with the C5 Z06 I had, but that thing is not a good car to teach her how to drive a stick.

Like me, the wife has been driving standard shift cars for more than 50 years. She prefers auto these days.
She chooses not to drive the C7 or the Ferrari... but she has her own sets of keys should she ever change her mind...

I have multiple friends who wanted a manual tranny, but bought the auto because their wives couldn't drive a stick-shift.
Most are sorry for their decision. Their wives never drive the Corvette.
I'm lucky. Wife can drive the M7. However, as with my friends, she has no interest in driving it.
