2015 C7 map/reading lights flickering
The map/reading lights by the rear view mirror in my 2015 C7 started flickering like a strobe light when the lights are turned off and the car is running. This seems to happen when I am in drive, but the flickering stops when I apply the brake. In reverse the flickering starts with the brake applied but stops when the brake is released. The dealer can't find the cause of the problem. Has anyone run into this same issue, and what was the resolution?

Did they swap the light fixture out for a new one? Not the bulb, but the whole thing.

Flickering Solution
Since July 2015 I've had the C7 Corvette - Footwell LED Lighting Kit from WCC installed in the car, which replaced the factory footwell LED lights.
Chevy pulled the red LEDs and put the original factory LED lights in the car, and the flickering stopped. They can't explain why after 8-9 months of the red LEDs being installed the lights started flickering. Looks like I am out $80 in LED lights for the car.

After they installed the new map lights and control board and the LEDs were unplugged the lights still flickered, only when they plugged the factory LED lights back into the car did the flickering stop.

I also replaced my RPI LED strips with the original factory lights and the flickering stopped. What a shame.

Damn, this is disheartening. Just put my RPI led strips in recently. Waiting for the flicker now...

This issue was just brought to my attention. As the manufacturer of these kits i have to say we have sold hundreds of these kits with no complaints untill now! Nevertheless, I would suggest if you experience this issue you could try cutting the connectors off the led strips and tap them directly into the factory footwell wires with t-taps or scotchlock connectors and leave the factory led connected. Cover the factory led with some black tape or something that will block what little light they do put out. I would try it on our C7 but have never had this issue occur. Of course we would cover the cost of the kit if this doesnt work so don't think you will be out $ if you cut the connectors off. I would also be interested to know if these are Bright or Superbright kits that this issue is occuring with. We would like to get this issue figured out but with so many kits working perfectly it may be an issue with just a few cars. For what reason I cant say at this point. Please keep us informed!

I heard from jb20147 that he tryed the suggested fix of tapping the led strips into the factory wiring after cutting off the connectors and he said the flickering stopped. This appears to have fixed the problem on his car.

LED Flickering Problem Solved
In order to stop the flickering I kept the factory footwell lighting connected and used a wire tap to connect the LED footwell lighting to the electrical system. The LED lighting overpowers the factory white footwell light so you still get the red footwell color.

I know this is an old thread, but this issue just happened to me 3 years after installing the footwell lights. I put the factory footwell lights back in and the flickering stopped. Completely odd. Did anyone ever figure out the cause? Thanks.

Yes, I did remove the LED footwell strips and reinstalled the factory bulb and the flickering stopped. I even tried to run it for a bit with the factory and then reinstall the LED strip to see if it would flicker again...it did, but less...but the longer I left them on the flickering became more apparent. The strangest thing ever. So, unfortunately, I'm back to the factory bulb... Thanks for the response.
