I drive it like I want to drive it again tomorrow.

I just got back from a nice drive, which included encounters with a Tesla and a couple other spirited driver and their cars.
While I have days where I literally cruise below the speed limit, I find myself driving the C7 more and more like I stole it. I'm not doing anything entirely stupid but if the area and traffic conditions allow it, you will hear me from several blocks away, so to speak.
So there you have it. Do you drive your C7 like you stole it?

In a word, no.
Once in a while I accelerate hard to enter traffic or to pass on a two lane, but mostly speed limit cruising, AC on and tunes playing.
Aside from the car being a world class sports car (and looking the part in spades), it make one heck of a boulevard cruiser.

Always at the normal POSTED speed limits or 5-7 miles over at best.
No need to get speeding tickets. Not worth the risk and increase in insurance premiums or loss of license.
No one likes to get speeding tickets and have to pay or go to court.
It's just not worth the risk in my Corvette or any of my other cars.

On freeway drives, I drive like an old guy though. Just save the gas, listen to music, text, read email and enjoy the occasional sip of ice cold gin.
On the street, I drive in a fashion that those around me are given the opportunity to hear what a V8 sounds like, what an american made car is capable of. I'm surrounded by electric cars, self-driving cars for godsakes, porsches, BMW, etc.
In addition, there are no ********* here but my own. From San Fran to San Jose, there's nothing but doughy techies, and emasculated men who only eat cabbage.
So I have a moral obligation to drive like a stole it. Someone has to show the younger guys how to have fun. it's this, not a kale recipe.

Have never taken a cruise in my Vette without hitting triple digits at least once. Always on a road with the right conditions, of course with the Vette it does not take too long or much distance to hit triple digits.

First C6 I replaced the tires at 17,000 miles. Second C6 I had 25,000 on the original tires. Maybe I'm not a big fan of replacing expensive tires. Will see what happens when my C7 arrives next week!!!

Yes. But pick my spots. I like aggressive cornering more so than high speeds. But if I'm not feeling a correction once in a while to keep me on course around the corners I'll do so until I hit the limit once in a while. Traction Control and StabiliTrack keep me in line. They are marvelous!

I find it easier to drive at slower speeds than my Subaru! In the Subaru I am on a mission and I just want to be there. In the Vette I don't really care how long it takes to get there or what I want to be there for. I ride in traffic and have no urge to put them all behind me, not the case in the Subaru. I have a C4 also and it's the same way.
Now from time to time I certainly get into it. The last speeding ticket I had was in the C4. It was 1:30 am and I was driving my drunk friend home from the bar. We were on a back road with a speed limit of 45. I pulled out and hit 1st, 2nd and 3rd under full throttle. Then backed right off but that was still in excess of 85 MPH. Evidently a SUV that turn the other way at the intersection (headed North, we sent South) was a State Trooper. I saw the blues in the mirror and just pulled over and waited for him to catch up.
What he said to me next stuck with me. He walked up to the car and the first words out of his mouth were "Any reason I shouldn't arrest you and take you to jail right now?" I paused for a second thinking about it and then answered him, "nope". He dropped the speed to 29 over for the ticket and let me off for the "Criminal Speed" he could have gotten me for.
The C7 is far easier to get in trouble with and I like my license and freedom. I drive it like I don't want to go to jail.

One thing I might say is that in Oregon there are posted 55 speed limits for highways. They have curve warning signs for curves. Some at 45, 35, 25, etc. You get the idea. Those warnings are not speed limits, but suggested speeds for a particular corner. Those are the curves that are the most fun. In most cases I can just go through at 55 or 60 even though it is suggested at 25. Can you spell G force?

I did a stupid, stupid thing in my Z28 when I was younger and invincible. While I was successful at outrunning the officer on the highway and hiding out on the logging roads, I was haunted for a long time by how serious the trouble could have been. Later that night I walked to the local pub where the bartender told me there had been several cops looking around the area for a couple hours afterward. I consider that to be my one time karma pass and do not push it too much anymore. I actually think about it most every time I get in my Corvette which is the same shiny black as the old Camaro.

I bought a Z51 and drive it on the track at HPDE events. Even there I drive 8/10s... but that is still pretty quick.
On the street I drive like a Little Old Lady (LOL), because...
40% of drivers are texting and don't see STOP signs.
40% are driving 6,000lb trucks, are late for something, and think S-T-OP means Stop for Trucks OPtional.
20% are just stupid, and don't know what S-T-O-P means.
