Default Red Stitching?

Is it available on the Ebony 1LT GS interior? Thanks.

It doesn't have to be available, you can do what others have done, they dyed the stitches with permanent magic marker.

You can make the stitches any color you wish.

Is this difficult to do without staining the seat itself? Thanks.

Yes. I have heard of this being done. Unfortunately, that task is beyond my "pay grade".

The custom red and custom yellow stitching offered by GM is available only with 3LT / 3LZ Jet Black interiors.

Thanks. Planning on a 1lt. Guess I need to get out the red "pen". What color is the stiching on the Ebony 1LT?

I used the red Sharpie fabric pen on my 1LT and the results were fantastic. Took me 4 hours though...

My other hint is to buy two pens. Ask me how I know...

Your stitching job looks great, really adds some color to your interior. How did you keep from dying the seats while using your pen?

2 days ago I purchased a C7 with the same two-tone red interior! I had never seen that option before, and, to me it was just the right amount of red! Reminded me of the really early two-tone Stingray interiors.

One of the highlights is the red stitching. Looks great on the dash and on the doors too.

Went very slowly and made sure the pen tip was wet by shaking it every so often. And I wiped with an old sock every few inches. Like i said, it took me 4 hours. I went into the job planning on 2... Obviously no turning back once I started.

I would not recommend doing the DIY colored stitching on the "suede" which is MF; very absorbent.

I have red stitching on black leather 3LT (from factory) and it looks exactly like your pen job. Very nice.

Not accurate. Red stitching is also an available option on the 2LT. I know, I got it.

As a stand-alone option on a solid Jet Black 2LT / 2LZ interior or as part of an interior that contains Jet Black and Adrenaline Red?

I've never been able to configure a jet black 2LT with red stitching. If you have two tone or adrenaline red, it just comes that way. But check the order guide: the red and yellow stitching options are only available with 3LT/3LZ. I've verified this with GM reps in person at the Bash.

+1 on the DIY. I have a gray 2LT interior w/ Torch Red exterior. Picked up the "Stained by Sharpie" pen at Hobby Lobby per suggestions here and colored all my stitching. It looks great, and does not damage the seat at all. Very scary using a magic marker on a 2-week old >$80k car though!
