Default No TPMS readings

If one Sensor is bad, will it knock out the other three readings? Currently have NO pressure readings.

No, they were working when I took it in for an alignment.
The mechanic told me he had a TPMS warning light when he moved the car to the alignment stand.
Said one Sensor wouldn't program, but, there are no readings on any of the sensors.
Tried the self learn. I can enter it into learn mode, but, still no readings.

Disconnected the battery for 15 minutes.
Went into learn mode, drove 20 miles, still no pressure readings on any tires.
Any suggestions out there?

Maybe the TPMS receiver got bumped or cable damaged by accident on the alignment rack.

Here's the manual TPMS procedure. Can't remember who originally posted it.

Good Luck!

Ron

Reset TPMS manually if it does not work automatically

they should automatically see the new sensors...about 20% of the time they don't, and then you need to do this - this is not in the manual...

1. start car - actual engine running - not the Acc mode
2. Select the tire pressure display in the DIC.
3. Press and hold the SEL button until the display changes and the horn beeps. It now says it's in learn mode.
4. Now drive just as it says in the manual - 10 min or so above 12 mph.
5. Suddenly, it will find all 4 sensors and show pressure
6. when you shut the car off , the "learn DIC" will show again and horn beeps.

If you know someone who has a scan tool i would start there. That way you can identify if its the sensors or the receiver in the car. If one sensor is bad, the light will flash when you first start the car and then stay solid.

The light does flash then go solid.
Would that knock out the other 3 sensors? None are reading.

Damn! So it must be something common to all 4 wheels. I did find a write up on how the TPMS works (see attachment pg 10 & 11). None of the fuses seem to have a relevant description. Sorry, but I don't have the shop manuals. Sounds like a dealer trip is in your future.

Good Luck!

Ron

on the DIC? or did you scan em with a tool? If youre a costco member or if youre near a Firestone you can ask em to just scan em to check functionality. Im pretty sure Costco will do it for free if you ask the tire shop manager nice. When I ran the shops for them I did it for members all the time.

Looks like there is a bad sensor. Unable to explain why no other sensors are reading. Also, I have the DIC set to Touring and the right hand displays Eng Temp, Oil Temp, etc. The last item on the list is Tire Press and it says OK.
Dealer doesn't have a sensor in stock. The car will go in tomorrow afternoon.
Thanks everyone.
