Noticed this today. Cracked inside only, corner driver side. Saw others with same problem on line. Some said dealer warranty others said dealer refused to repair under warranty. No outside chips or impact. Cracked sitting in garage. Washed car, no crack next time I went to drive I noticed the crack.

Reason: added info
My buddy showed me almost the same thing on his '15 vert on Saturday. It's from the inside as I could not feel the crack from the outside. Looks like a stress crack or defect as there are not any rock chips that could have caused it. He hasn't taken it in as he just noticed it so not sure on his warranty situation.
Must be something in the air going around. This week I heard a rock hit the windshield right near the top. But my crack goes in two directions and I can see the indent in the glass. Waiting on factory replacement.
Just make sure you check the glass before it's installed because they get damaged coming from the factory. We went through 7 before we got one that was ok, also make sure the guy has done a C7 before. There are all kinds of wiring in the upper part of the roof where the windshield stops.

Hi junker98,
I’m sorry to hear about the crack in your windshield, and I understand how this could be upsetting. If you’re interested in having it looked at by your dealer, I would be happy to reach out to them to help facilitate a service appointment on your behalf.
Please feel free to follow up with a private message if this is of interest.
This is a know issue and GM knows about it. You will notice you feel the crack from the inside only. The crack is a stress crack as a result of welding slag on that area of where the windshield fits. The slag was not cleared off properly before fitment. Your dealer should take care of it.
Mine and others is very similar and from the same side.

Make sure they replace it with one of these. And inspect it carefully because I also went through 5 windshields before I got one that wasn't damaged in shipping or poor handling by the dealer. Good luck.
I wonder if Chevy knows it is a weak spot and not admitting it. My Onstar gps antenna stopped working, when the tech took the cover off of it above the rear view mirror he said there was a label that said Warning do not push on glass.
[Service writer said they would order glass to repair.thanks

I pay $25 a year, for full coverage glass insurance thru my auto insurance company's, zero deductible.
The windshield in my 2015 coupe was to be replaced under warranty, several years ago.
It is still on order at my local Chevrolet dealer.
