Was at dentist office parked in lot away from most cars. Came out when I went to start car I got this message.....Theft Attempted????
I was concerned got out looked at car did not see any body damage. Now every time I get in to start car the message is still there. How do I clear this from DIC?
Maybe everytime you get out of the car someone attempts to steal it? I'd move if I were you, or take the suggestion of another member who wishes to install a 360degeee camera on the vehicle and record the footage to an internal dvr which is housed inside the vette.

There are a lot of false positives with that system. I haven't pinned down what exactly causes it, though I'm convinced looking at the vette crooked will do it. Last time I got out of the car to gas it up. My wife was in the car with her key fob in her purse. Mine was in my pocket. She opened her passenger door and the alarm went off and that message appeared. weird stuff.
Have you tried pushing the center button on the right spoke of your steering wheel (the one marked "SEL")? That's how most of the alert messages are cleared.

I had the same message last summer after my windshield sun screen slid down on one side and activated the alert. I cleared it with the SEL button.
BTW, to prevent the sun screen from sliding down again, I taped a small section of thin plastic sheet, about 4" x 6" on the middle top edge of the screen and then tucked that under my visors, it fits tight and I never had a problem with the screen sliding down again.

I have my Esort Passport Max mounted high on the windshield to the right of the mirror. First time I had that message was when the car was parked facing the sun. The sticky mount had let loose. It tripped the alert. Fortunately it was hanging from the connection cord and did not drop on the dash!
Have had that happen several times since in 2 1/2 years on a hot summar day. Fortunately installed a tether made from a piece of thin fishing leader so now it hangs from it! Has never come loose while driving, which was my concern so installed the tether.
My alert clears when I start the car. I recall someone saying theirs tripped because of a moth!
