Default Help with C7 purchase!

Hey guys, first time posting here - I found this forum while researching on a new C7 purchase. I am looking to get a 2016 Stingray coupe automatic but haven't decided between 1LT or 2LT yet.

I was wondering if you guys know when the 2017 will be out and if its worth the wait or just jump on the 2016 right now?

Also, if anyone knows of any dealership in the Houston, TX area with the best prices that would be great or should I consider the out of state dealerships; Kerbeck/Criswell?

I found out about the GM Supplier discount and have built and priced both 1LT and 2LT on their website - is that price after discount negotiable with the dealers?

Any thoughts, suggestions, guidance would be greatly appreciated!

PS:
With 1LT I'd go with Torch Red exterior, black seats, black wheels
With 2LT I'd go with Yellow exterior, kalahari seats, black wheels.

Options I am debating:
Black/Carbon spoiler
Front and Rear Black Molded Splash Guards

Thanks!

I heard that guy from Criswell was pretty good, but that guy at Kerbeck was awesome...

OK, serious answer. Supplier Price is not negotiable under the program but you should be able to do better than Supplier Prices with an number of dealers.

I'd love to sell you a car, but check with the dealer in Sugarland first. Even if his price is higher than ours I doubt if it's enough to make up the shipping cost since they are usually pretty aggressive. If not, give me a call!

Great dealer that posted above here to say what he did.

Now with that said go to your dealer talk with the new car mgr. Let him get on the computer to see if any 2016 is out at any dealer just like you want.

If he finds one make sure you are looking to see the place to get that name. Then get a price from your dealer on that car if you don't like the price he has giving you. Then you call the dealer where the car is and deal with the price and go get it. This dealer may just be a really small chev dealer and wants that 2016 gone and willing to give you a better price.

This is what happen to a friend I know in here.

Default Thank you

Thank you so much David and Robert I really appreciate the input. I will take your advice and contact the Sugar Land dealer to see what they can do. I didnt know they could go lower than the gm supplier price that would be awesome and put me that much closer to getting the car !!!

Since you want colors that are available now I would jump on a 16 if you can find one. A 9-12% discount off MSRP should be doable on an instock unit. Good luck

Yep, jump on a '16. Deals are to good to wait if you can find the color, and options that are close to your wants. Good luck.

With the 2lt trim you get the front facing camera which is pretty nice. I'm not sure what else 2lt adds or the cost, but that's a nice feature. Yellow and kalahari is a nice match, that would look sharp!

If you go to the Chevy site and build a car you will be able to see exactly what is on the 1LT and 2LT.
The 2LT has memory seats which is important to me so I'm going with the 2LT.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

The 2LT adds some nice stuff.

Before you go to Classic Chevrolet in Sugar Land, go to the web site Carprousa. Car Pro is a radio show here on Sat morning that gives car buying advice. Classic is one of their preferred dealers and when you contact Classic through them, they give you a very very good deal.
I have no connection with them other than as a customer. Just this morning picked up my '15 Corvette after they completed $17,000 worth of body damage repair. It came out just like or better than it looked from the factory.

Get the 2lt, it is worth the 4K above the 1lt. Also if you are going to get a 2lt I would suggest that you consider the Torch Red with the Kalahari interior...really good looking. Way more contrast than yellow/Kalahari. While the yellow is nice anything but black does not work well with it, other than Brownstone which has been discontinued ( of course ). This is my opinion for what it is worth.
Oh yeah, get the carbon flash spoiler...would look killer, and add the carbon flash badge package to top it off.

I agree with Birdsong on the advantage of the 2LT over the 1LT. And I love the HUD. For what it's worth, we bought our 2013 C6 2LT sight unseen from Greg Kap at Classic Chevrolet in Sugarland. We found the car online. We live in Mesa, AZ and had the car shipped out on a covered truck. We had an excellent experience with Greg - very smooth transaction with no problems. I would at least give him a call to see what he has available. If you talk to him, tell him Toby and Renae in Mesa say "hi"!
