Fact is everyone is entitled to their opinion. And, IMHO, while I think the GS is nothing more than GM's s attempt to boost sales, and there is nothing wrong with that. However, one thing they did do was to eliminate the Z51 option on the base Vette and incorporate most of those into the GS which is different than what they did with the C6 which was nothing more than a wide body. If I had to buy my Vert NOW, I would probably get the GS only because of the added MECHANICAL features it has, not the wide body.

Nope, not at all. There are, in fact, quite a number of folks who just plain don't care for the, um, "wide-body" appearance package, and certainly with some of the unpleasant colors / color combination offered. However, a few of the color combinations are quite attractive, but not many. IMHO, of course.

Beautiful car. Think I would have left off the white stinger/stripe and put on a red one to match the hash marks and calipers. Only cosmetics which is all personal taste. C7 is already wide enough IMO but I do like MRC being standard.

Machined-face cup wheels, silver (or maybe even WGG) center stripe and fender hash, red and black interior on that Admiral Blue would look hot.

I think that GS color combo looks great. If I were ordering one, it would be among my top choices.

I like the new Admiral Blue. In regards to the question of how soon will we be able to build your own 2017 Corvettes at www.chevrolet.com , If Chevy keeps doing what they have done in the past, it will be quite a while before its available. I dont know why. Common Sense tell us that since we can no longer order a 16, the 17 info should be available. For some reason Chevy does not see it this way...

I like the Z06-lite, except for the white stipes. If stripes, then maybe red to match the fender stripes, calipers... and even seat belts, but definitely not white. Too busy IMO.

The Grand Sport is what I'm looking for. I'd prefer more NA power...easily fixed.

You are correct...Z51 is still available on the Stingray. It was the C6 narrow body that lost the Z51 option when the GS came out in 2010. obxchartercaptain has it backward.

I think this car is a terrible mistake on GMs part. It totally devalues the ZO6. It's just to much of a ZO6 look alike car. I could see them doing the car with the 6th generation because of the automatic and convertible configurations but on C7 it's just a greedy mistake on GMs part.

The value of the Z06 will not be lost due to the GS introduction. Sure they look pretty much the same to the casual observer, but true gearheads will know the difference and more importantly, the owners/drivers of a Z06 will be on a completely different performance level than a GS pilot.
