Use a hair dryer on warm or hot if no warm setting and lightly heat the stock emblem. Move hair dryer back and forth from about 8 inches away for about 30-45 seconds.
Use Dental floss (need strong floss) or fishing line and get behind the stock emblem. In a back and forth sawing motion you will dislodge the tape that holds the emblem to the body.
When emblem falls off you may be left with the tape adhered to the body in pieces or in full. You can slowly remove the tape with your finger and or use Goo Gone to assist. Some folks use W40 to do same. Though I have not ever used WD40 for this. Once all tape is removed, clean the surface with rubbing alcohol to prep for new emblem. Or can leave as is if like that look.
The Stingray emblem can be bought on ebay for about $50 or so from Tamaraz with free shipping. Buy TRIM PARTS that is the best quality and Made in the USA not crappy China part. You will need to dremel off the four prongs. The emblem comes with 3M tape all pre applied. Peel and stick. Use a level to get your straight line.
Just thought I would share an emblem Mod for C7 Stingray.
I removed the rear panel CORVETTE emblem and replaced with the old school STINGRAY script emblem made by Trim Parts (USA made).
I likey, and there goes more money out of my pocket. I've been thinking of a pair for the fenders instead of the God awful sperm fish there now. I'll check 'em out.

It doesn't look level to me. It's likely because the script isn't balanced height wise which is why they didn't center them on the original cars that had them. On my 66 it was on the right side when looking at the rear
My picture may have a slant to it-hard to hold camera perfectly level. I created a level taped ine and tried to use the "g" as the level alignment letter. The S, G and Y, in the word STINGRAY, do not create a level line. In fact many of the letters are different heights. So you end up using the level line created as a guide and just eye balling the right look and placement under the Vette Logo emblem. You get but one try, as the tape sticks very strongly and hard to go back and move at all after contacting the body. Also be aware that the body has a curve and the emblem does not. I shaped the emblem some but its thick and real metal (thick) so when applied, the corner of the S and the Y do not want to fully stay adhered. Not a huge deal as the remainder of the emblem is bonding rock hard and not coming off anytime soon.
