Just came back from Spring Mountain Monday and Tuesday and on Monday my car temperature was 123 degrees for the outside temp and never got below 115 that afternoon. However, to me it was not that unpleasant being outside and no one else in our class seemed to mind either. Being from Texas if it is 90 degrees outside with our high humidity it would be brutal. Just a FYI in case your planning your class this summer. Drink lots of water and wear sunscreen and all will be good. With the AC on in the cars it feels perfect. Also, I have read every thread about SM and knew what to expect or so I thought. You have no idea what you are going to experience....WOW. Whatever I try to put in writing has been written before. Get ready for some WOW time!
A few years back I drove through Death Valley (7/2/2011 actually - thanks geotagging...) and stopped the Stovepipe Wells General Store and snapped this photo of my C6 (at the time) thermometer:
I did a day of driving there years ago in a Radical SR3 while the Vettes were on the other half of the track. Full face helmet, no roof, no AC, that was hot. Great facility and a fun excuse to go to Vegas.
How many feet did the C7Zs make it before overheating?
During our class times we had only one ZO6 get overheated during track time. It seems like the Z51 I was driving the oil and water temps stayed in the 235 degree range. Don't remember the exact temps as there was so much always going on. For the most part cars all seem to handle it pretty well. What a great time!

Same here. 1 Z06 cooked. The service axle or diff message came on too. I had a M7 Z51 and it was 100+ degrees. I think the water temp stabilized at 230 and oil was 290 or so. Lots of conflicting opinions about the comfort inside the car. I thought it was fine but I did sweat a little. Definitely the hot side of comfort. Of course I was with the fastest Z06 guys and driving my *** off to keep from getting run over.

My opinion is that sweating will happen regardless of outside temps. I went during winter time (28 degrees outside) and was still sweating inside. Most of us turned the A/C on because of the heat that's blown into the cabin.
I think that same weekend 4 or 5 people died in AZ during hikes. I believe 3 of them were from Germany. If you're driving through desert areas during the summer I would strongly suggest taking a lot of drinking water with you in case of breakdowns.
