Shared the joy last night
We have a view of the valley below us and had a bunch of people over last night to watch the fireworks in the valley (great show!). Most were adults, and one couple brought their 15 year old son - who is a really nice young man.
Turns out that C7s are his favorite car, and his parents asked if I would show it to their son. I said only if I can take him for a ride. His son just lit up. They all came out to the garage and took pictures of him with the car. We then left the neighborhood and I had a good chance to talk with him while we were driving to a secluded area with no homes around. He asked what I do for a living, my interest in cars (we also have a C3 and a few other goodies), and I got a chance to ask him about his interests, etc. I explained why we bought the car and how we use it, that I'm always very careful around neighborhoods and other traffic - and that things can happen fast with cars, but especially with cars like this, and that you need to be really cautious. He got it.
We were then in a safe area, and I 'had a little fun'. Didn't do any high rate of speed stuff - just 1st and 2nd gear fun. He was laughing his head off. Then we calmly drove back to the home.
He must have thanked me a dozen times. His dad sent me a text this morning that thanked me again for taking their son, and he also said 'I don't know exactly what you told him, but he said he's going to make sure he gets good grades and he's going to work hard. That's all he talked about last night and this morning'.
It's fun to share the passion and hopefully pass it on.

Different things ignite motivation in our young people. You probably hit the trigger for this young man.
