Default LaminX installed

I installed headlight, doorcup and door edge film this afternoon. The headlight film is thick and should provide good protection from rocks and other road debris. Doorcup and door edge was standard film thickness. Installation wasn't easy but I was able to complete them without ruining any pieces. A few hazy spots on the headlights that I hope will go away in several days as the manufacturer states in their literature.

It goes away, I've had them on my head and foglights for two years. Yes, the material is thick and provides great protection. Just make sure to use a UV protectant/sealant on them.

Will do. Plan to use 303 on a regular basis.

FWIW, I just had XPEL Ultimate installed on my car, and my installer didn't want to put it on the headlights because he said GM would deny a warranty claim on a burned-out headlight that was covered with film.

He went on to say, that they have claimed that additional extra heat caused the failure, and he didn't agree, but said it had happened to some of his clients.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll be sure to remove the film before I take it in to the dealer if one of my head light fails.

Seriously doubt the temperature inside the headlight is higher with the film as the headlight is a sealed unit.

Yes, I doubt it too, as did my very experienced installer, but just passed on as FYI.
