Default Negotiating new price?

I had a C7 2 years ago but had to sell it after a few months. I want to get another one and found this, which is new for 50k, which I know is far under normal MSRP. It's been for sale since late may(according to cargurus.com) so maybe they're just desperate to sell new models?

Here is the car: http://www.dimmittchevrolet.com/Vehi...-FL/2770827313

My question is: realistically, would a dealer be willing to be talked down a few thousand more on this price?

What do you have to lose? He IS already 15% down, though.

That's a sharp car. Not heavily optioned, but very nice. You may have directed someone here to the car of "their" dreams.

Why does the window sticker show msrp of $56,990, yet they say msrp is $59,038? Plus all the discounts you may not qualify for. Looks like tricky advertising.

I hate the negotiating back-and-forth but I still want to not waste my time or theirs, so I guess the main thing to lose is my time.

I must be missing it, where do you see $56,990? I don't see it in the pictures or description.

I didn't catch all of the discounts that I may not be eligible for, good call

There's another thread about that dealer over on the For Sale section where they add over $3K additional fees to the price of a used C7. I would count my fingers and toes when trying to deal with them.
All I can say is, I dealt with Mike Furman at Criswell. Everything was above board through the entire process. No surprise fees or unexpected disclosures. If you live in FLA, you may want to talk with one of the forum dealers and compare "Out The Door" prices before buying.

If they're already that low they may go even lower, then again maybe not, but you never know so no problem asking. When I purchase vehicles I always try to find out what invoice is and then go from there. I'm always extremely nice and respectful and give a bottom line price that I'll pay. If they can't meet it then no big deal, I politely tell them thank you that I understand and then walk away. On two occasions I've received calls the following Monday with the dealer saying they will sell me the car at that price. I do think attitude has a lot to do with it.

Yes attitude is a big thing, as a one time salesman some people tended to think they were entitled and have no clue on how to negotiate and gave me a laughable offer. For example the car they wanted was already marked 20% off plus another manufacturer rebate and they wanted another 2500 off accusing me of wanting to rip them off. My manager gave me permission to walk them to the door. Some are just *******s and have attitudes. Alot of them are just time wasters

I have seen few cars where there prices are different between window sticker and dealer. There are dealer installed options which are not in the window sticker and hence the price difference.

They are supposed to be placed on a dealer addendum sheet and displayed on the the vehicle as well. Usually they will discreetly place it at the bottom of the front windshield. But they probably won't scan them and display them on the internet, You just have to wait and see when you arrive. Just catch it before you start crunching numbers

False advertising or a misprint. MSRP is not accurate, as earlier identified. If there is $3000 of dealer installed crap, they can't add it to the "MSRP".

It's new, but how many miles? Was it a demo car?

Are demo cars bad? Just curious? I know they may have miles but since they are not titled you still get full warranty right?

Shady, deceptive, are two words that come to mind when looking this ad over do what you want, but no way I'd buy a car from a dealer that uses these very questionable tactics.

Check this out.- http://www.grabiak.com/VehicleDetail...-PA/2728954093

I used this to negotiate the price I am paying on a 2016 1LT coupe and got the discount shown. Every dealer I talked to said "What $4,449 incentive?". I showed this ad to them and the answer across the board was.."We can do that.". The $1,00 cash tag had to be assigned to the car by 12 PM last Thursday and may not apply, but the others do.

Good luck.
