Tow Hooks

Could someone explain to me the correct procedure for removing the small section of front grill on a 2015 Z51, in order to install a front tow hook should I need to?

Can the same tow hook work in the back or front. In other words are they the same size.

The hook is the same regardless of whether it's used in the front or the back.
