I have a 2016 1LT. I can't get the radio auto volume, nor the startup volume settings to work. Are those audio features not available on the 1LT?? The features are in the radio settings. I check marked each of the volume levels, but none work. Same for the startup volume. I adjusted it both up and down with no affect.
Not available on your model. LT2 and up. Not sure on startup volume, but not for auto volume level. It seems few like the auto volume level anyway.
I thought the base stereo (1LT) has an AVC system based on speed ("Auto Volume") while the 2LT/3LT stereo has another based on ambient noise levels ("AudioPilot"), both selectable in the Infotainment Settings. Ref: Infotainment manual pp. 11-12.

So the 1LT has no AVC setting? On p. 11 the manual describes Auto Volume "if equipped" that's based on speed, and the Bose AudioPilot "if equipped" that's based on ambient noise. My 3LT has a setting for AutoPilot but none for the former, so what cars have the Auto Volume setting? Just curious.

I do know this. "Audiopilot" is on the LT2 and LT3. Not the LT1. I believe Auto Volume is the generic name for what Bose has trademarked as "Audiopilot".
Either way I wouldn't worry about it. The Auto Volume function that Bose has doesn't work well anyway. I turned my off and just use the volume controls on the steering wheel as necessary.

I have read that from users on the forums. I have the option on another car, not this one, and it is pretty much useless.

The AVC in my 2007 Harley FLHX stock stereo system is made by Harmon-Kardon and is speed-based, has several levels to choose from, and works beautifully. Fast-forward to 2016 and we have Bose AudioPilot that doesn't work. The parade of progress never ends.

I've had a 2016 Stingray with the "audio control" and now have a 2016 Z06 with the "audiopilot" and concur with others that the audiopilot is useless. At least with the volume control there was a distinguishable change in volume as speed (and noise) increased but with the audiopilot I find myself having to manually increase the volume as my speed increases and then manually decreasing it when I'm driving slower speeds. So far, this is the only disappointment I'v experienced moving from the Stingray to the Z06... That and the poor gas mileage I get with the Z06!

I've been using the system all summer (Audio Pilot) and comparing it to the speed sensitive settings in my Focus. Both of them work, but work differently. I'll explain
#1. Audio Pilot has a slow reaction time, so when you speed up the sound takes time to get louder and catch up to you. This is the same when you roll the windows down. The same is true at slowing down, once you stop at a light listen closely and you'll notice the volume dropping after 5-10 seconds.
#2. Speed sensitive systems are very quick as they basically rely on vehicle speed.
#3. Speed sensitive systems do not compensate for noise, so I find I have to change the "base volume" in the car when I open my windows. With Audio Pilot I don't change anything, the music gets louder if the windows are open.
So each has positives and each has negatives, once you understand HOW each system works you can adjust your way of using them.

I thought it to be terrible and disabled mine as well.

Then maybe I need to get mine checked out because I'm not noticing any increase in volume as I increase speed. Having to turn the volume up manually at speed is what caught my attention in the first place. I double checked to make sure the Audio Pilot was on and it was. Hmm...

It doesn't change on the display FWIW it only changes in the amount of audio it puts out.
The first week I had the car I was convinced it didn't work. But then I noticed it. It's much more noticeable when your default volume is lower (mines at 15-20 clicks from 0). If you have it set higher there is less of a change.
I have a 1LT and it works fine but I do remember when I first set it up the wording is a little confusing just like song shuffle on your media list. You think you're clicking it on but actually you turn it off. Maybe they changed it for 2016.
Designer Imagines A Corvette That Looks More Like a Corvette Than the Corvette
