Hey guys. Needs some suggestions and or recommendations. Yesterday while working on swapping out my stock shifter to the MGW flat stick, I slipped getting out of the car and instictively pushed the door out while bracing my fall. After I got up i saw the damage. On a side note the mgw is incredible! Huge upgrade over the stock shifte .

Hit the wall in my garage. And unfortunately it hit where there was a stud. If it had just hit the sheet rock maybe it would have just punctured the wall. Local shop quoted me $550.

Installed both parallel to the floor (as in a continuous row) at a point where the edge of the driver door will contact them when opened. That way way if I pull up further or not as far, the door will always contact one of the other.
Also put down these to keep the nose of the car from hitting the front wall. Just roll in and bump them to know where to stop.
