Default Clear Bra

I am looking into putting clear bra on and was wondering what other have done. If they did it at all, just the nose, hood and quarter panels, or the entire car. If you have done it can you recommend a place in Bergen County NJ or near by? Thanks.

Had 3M plastic on the front & rockers of my C5.
Cut lines would get black dirt in them that was impossible to get out.
Same with stone pecks and scrapes from hitting autocross cones.
Would not do it again and won't on my C7.

Lots of opinions on this! I have went partial hood and fenders, bumper and headlights on all of my cars. On my C7 I added rocker panels and the area below the crease in the lower door. Everyone has a favorite brand, but many go Xpel or Suntek. Seems most go Xpel. I went Suntek

XPEL the full car looks great cleaning it is a breeze now to what it was like. Just make sure the prep work is really done good before it goes on. Are it will show every little piece of crap under it plus any marks of ant kind.. Robert

I went with XPEL on the whole car, my wife and my dog. We are good to go. Not a chip on any of them.

Mherman19,

I had SunTek installed within a week of purchasing my 2016 Corvette Z51, Shark Grey metallic.

Regardless of the brand, most are pretty good in protecting the paint. If you don't like them, you can easily remove it. The SunTek has self healing properties, i.e., towel scratches, etc are removed when the film is warmed by heat gun or sun.

The company who provided SunTek pre-cut (via computer program) the film before applying.

Worth every penny in my opinion.

Oh, the company spent an hour plus preparing the front bumper before installation. Turned out perfect.

I think a clear bra would chafe really bad during the summer.

I did Xpel last month and I really like the results. Front end, partial hood and mirrors. Search the other threads on this. Lots of details. Most important part regardless of which product you choose is getting an experienced installer.

Xpel is a forum sponsor and he/she was helpful confirming the place I chose has experience with C7's

No partials, full coverage is the only way to go per piece. In other words, don't do half a hood, etc.. Seams suck.
