Went Old School with White Letters
After seeing these at a World of Wheels show on a C7 several months ago I found the source and did the mod 2 wks ago on my DD. Look isn't for everyone but they turned out even better than I expected. Can't count the number of compliments or times people have inquired in just 2 wks. They do look great at a slow roll too. Took car to dealer today for the creaking top TSB and the letters dominated the conversation.
I didn't use the stickers, went with the actual raised rubber letters that last the life of the tire. Application wasn't bad, just acetone the sidewall as prep and you're good to go. About 15-20 mins per tire.
First tire completed
How they arrive

When I read the title of your post thought was , then I saw the pics. The white lettering, white exterior and your racing stripes tie it all together. Makes it look like a track car.
That said, don't think it would blend so well on C7s in other colors.

I have seen this done in a couple of threads now and honestly I think it looks pretty cool. Not 100% it would have the same effect with all models and colours but this one does indeed work.

I think they look great, especially with your color and wheel combo.
I remember as a young teen doing that to the Firestone tires I had on my 65 Mustang. Had to manually color them in after each washing using this big white crayon like stick. Was tedious and took some time, but I always enjoyed detailing my cars.

Thanks for the comments. I ordered the raised permanent rubber letter that lasts the life of the tire. I didn't use the show stickers that are good up to a couple hundred miles since going on DD.
After cleaning the area on your tire with acetone you simply apply their specifically designed bonding agent to the back of 2 letters at a time and press for 30 seconds as it bonds.
Like many on the forum I'm a bit picky with details and appearance. When exploring this mod I actually called to make sure I was getting what I wanted in terms of quality, longevity and ability to retain the white appearance. Actually ended up speaking with the owner of tirestickers.com. I use EagleOne tire cleaner every time I wash so using Wesleys Bleech White is fine.
After several hundred miles I've looked for any corner of a letter that may need touch up with the bonding compound and all is good.
If you do these I suggest that you run a bead of the compound on the backside then use the tip of the bottle to spread it on 100% of the backside for great contact. I did have a few letters where there was excess after drying. A q tip with acetone cleaned it up very quickly and easily.
The instructions say to sandpaper the area after cleaning and before application. Owner told me that step isn't necessary if your cloth is clean after the third to fourth swipe with acetone.
Hope this helps!
