would rather NOT scrape my 2014 like the front of my 1997 and 2006 (both traded and no, I am not a jump the curb driver). Looking for opinions on the roller set that attaches or the warning sensor system. Thanks. Wrap Your A** in Fiberglass and SAVE THE WAVE
Actually not much you can do to prevent damage without undo care. The 2016 model was the first year front cameras were added to the 2LT and 3LT trim levels.

Back in! The rear camera is very accurate! Forget rollers, won't fit well on the "skid pads" that are recessed a bit further than the C6. Get FANGS!
This is a PDF of my install on my 2014: http://netwelding.com/Skid_Pad_Protector.pdf
Flexible plastic air dams act as a warning before you do real damage and hit the next lowest item, these aluminum skid pads, or what GM calls a radiator support. C7 install bottom pic.
I added a single front camera to my '15 coupe. Search my posts if interested. I've always thought a visual of the front was better than a beep ("it didn't beep, I hope I'm not about to hit the curb") or a skid plate or rollers for collision protection. ("damn that sounded bad, I hope my skid solution worked")
BTW.. Corvettes aren't made with fiberglass anymore.
The plastic fangs will prevent you from scratching the paint on the metal braces, but they don't fix the main problem, YOU'RE PULLING UP TOO FAR
Vettes are a good bit shorter (front to back) than most other cars on the road, you can stop a foot from the curb and easily fit inside any normal parking spot.

But depends on what you hit and why. On my C6 I hit the skid pads several times when going into a parking lot a mall and FedEx. Both have a step rise. I usually stop and proceed very slowly, listen to the air dam scrape but no issue with the skid pads. However the times it happened some AH was driving at very high speed and came around a corner causing me to drive in quickly! Terrible sound!
Happened only once with the C7 but instead of scraped skid pad and a probable dent (the aluminum is thin) just slight scrape on the plastic! Worth the small price IMO but as you say does not stop stupid!
I would opt for leaning how to stop before the front end hits a curb, and which parking lot entrances to avoid.. (usually there is more than one way in)

Hi markcz,
Just wanted to let you know that the Fangs do much more than just protect the paint. The main thing they do is eliminate the friction that breaks the lower radiator support/skid plates by sliding instead of digging in and getting traction on what ever they contact. If you have Fangs on and you pull up to far on to a parking block you will barely notice it other than the front of the Vette lifting up. No noise or tearing up the aluminum skid plates. Same thing for those
times for a little bit of a to steep of a driveway and such they will just slide.
Thanks
Christian
