Advice - squealing rear end
I've had my C7 w/ Z51 and M7 since new in October 2013. I have approx. 11k miles, which have so far been trouble-free. Of late, I notice a fairly loud squealing sound occasionally when I start in 1st gear, and again occasionally when downshifting, primarily from 3rd to 2nd. The squeal doesn't happen every time, but more troubling now is something smells like it's hot or burning, and my car has never done that before.
I plan on taking it into the dealer, but would welcome some thoughts in advance to discuss with the service manager.

Could be coming from the front. Since it's not happening all the time it's kind of hard to pinpoint. However, the belt tensioner makes sense. I will take it out again today and see if the burning smell is there as well. That to me is very troubling.
