Missing front fender fasteners?

Default Missing front fender fasteners?

Are these front fender fasteners supposed to be missing? This is on both front fenders of my 2016 ZO6.

They are on my Stingray.

Yes! As I recall those holes are used in the factory during assembly! We all have the empty holes!

It is an alignment hole for the fender.

No, understand they use a fresh one each shift so if your car is the first one painted, no stipple. That's why the cars vary!

That is the normal finish for under the hood. What does it matter? Most cars have different finish in the engine compartment.

I asked about that on my 14. The holes are reportedly for an alignment jig used during assembly.
