Today I took the cover off my new (375 miles) convertible and found the passenger window down. I could not get it to roll up until I was in the driver's seat with the car running. Has anyone had a problem like this?
Have you looked at the owner's manual? I took a quick glance through the section on windows, and I didn't see anything about operating them with the engine off except for the ten-minute or until-the-door-is-opened Retained Accessory Power period.
With pushbutton start there's no accessory/ignition-on option like a key-start would have. In order to have the smallest possible battery, the designers want to limit the amount of power you can use when the engine isn't running.
Being a convertible could you have possible hit the "top down" button? I know that both windows should go down when you push that button, and course that doesn't answer the question of why the window would not go up. Unless the battery was a bit low until you started the car. I'm just guessing my friend, and when I guess I ramble. Good luck.
Bad indexing maybe? Did you try to reindex your windows with the car running to see if that fixed matters?
I think you are onto something. I did notice on one occasion the window didn't lower slightly (is that indexing?) when the door was opened. Guess I'll just keep an eye on it and hopefully it was a fluke.

Its easy to reindex them. Start car. Roll down windows. Hold windows up button and let windows roll all the way up, and then keep the up button held for a couple seconds more (usually you can hear/feel a click). Repeat two more times. Done.
