Road Trip
July 3rd was also our 35th wedding anniversary, she didn't mention I forgot a card!
January of 2015 my wife was paralyzed from the waist down and told she would never walk again, during her recovery and therapy (continuing) I told her when she could walk again I would get her a new Corvette.
We left Pa. on July 4 , arrived in Daytona Beach on the 5th, had lunch at the 3rd turn bar & grill on the beach with one of my cousins. Then to Fort Myers for a few days at my sisters place, ( the beer was cold and we enjoyed the pool a lot)
,next we spent a few days with my wife's parents just east of Tampa .On July 12 we left there for Bowling Green, Ky., Took a plant tour on the 13th (first time there since 1982), also checked out the Nat. Corvette Museum, Both were Great.
A few days later we stopped at Mt Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial in western South Dakota, then on to home.
Fuel mileage averaged a surprising 29.8 with one tank giving an incredible 35.8 , ending at home with right at 4000 miles on my wife's new Corvette, There is no comparing this one to any of our previous Corvettes , so far it is Flawless.

Sounds like it was a great road trip, and what a way to break in her new Corvette. Enjoy.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
We recently did a 2 week road trip. No problem with one large duffel, a smaller (quarter duffel) carryon and a good size cooler plus a laptop computer bag. Soft side luggage is definitely your friend!
Wife managed to buy lots at the Museum store and bought lots more stuff in Nashville. I managed to find room for a bunch of car care products and beer and booze!!! (Not sure we could have found room for ducks, but we once brought back a large wind flower in a '63 coupe from Key West. Necessity is the mother of invention!!)
We are going to look for a slightly smaller cooler, but overall the convertible is a great car for a road trip. Part of the secret is to pack to the full height of the trunk.

What is amazing is that your wife is now walking!
Congratulations on both counts.
