Default Does your seat A/C work?

95 yesterday. Turned on seat fan/ac. No discernable difference. How about you?

First, it's not seat A/C, it's ventilation fans, so they will simply blow the same ambient temp air that's in the cabin at any given time. It the car is hot, it will blow hot air and vice-versa.

It's far more effective if you keep the A/C in auto mode, or at least direct cold air to the floor so the ventilation fans can circulate the cool air on the floor of the car.

They work fantastically well in my car when the cabin is cool.

Yea, in an enclosed cabin with the AC cranking they will pick up the cooler air from the floor and you will feel it. Top off, no AC and 90 degrees in the sun the vented seats are just a fart in a windstorm but they do help you from sticking to the seat some.

You get used to the ventilated seats and then think they are not working. Leave them off for a bit. When you start to miss the feature turn it on. Then you will feel it!

They work well in my vert. Took a 400 mile road trip last week, top down all the way, mid-to-high 80s outside. Was not running the a/c, but the seat ventilators kept things feeling dry and comfy.

My passenger seat fan does not work. Would like to know why but I am not to sure about taking my Vette back to the dealer for service.

98 Degrees in central NC today. Yup! Ventilated/cooled seats work! Actually had to turn down the fan cause it got a little too cool. When we buy our next SUV, this will be an option we'll look for.

This past week, I made sure my a/c was set to auto when exiting the car and used the remote start in the morning while it was sweltering out. Got into the car after about 5 minutes and my tuchas never felt so good! So, yes, the seats deft work as long as you have cool air blowing.

Most of the cooling effect comes from evaporative cooling of your body sweat. When your sweat has evaporated, the cooling effect is diminished.

Yes, that is another way of saying the fans in the seats dry your sweaty backside because the ambient air in the car is dried by the AC and make you far more comfortable while driving.

LMAO . . . TMI, and I think we've beaten this thread to death, until the next thread comes along about why someone's "seat AC" doesn't work. :-)

Keep the temperature at LO and on the combo upper and lower vents on about just under half blast and the ventilation at 3. Works like a charm for me.
