Glaring error in 2016 Brochure?
In the 2016 brochure somewhere around the middle is a 2 page shot-full shot covering a left and right page- of a 3LT Kalahari interior with competition seats. The error I see is the door panels have the Kalahari colored insert. It is my understanding that the Kalahari insert disappeared with the 3LT in 2016-was only there in 2014 and 2015.
If I did it right I attached the left side of the full page picture which shows the Kalahari door panel. What a glaring error on a major shot in the brochure-who proofs these things?

They even screwed up the two tone seats in the brochure. Ryan Vaughan showed pics of two tone seats at the seminar that were different than the brochure. That was in the summer of 2015 so not sure if they updated the brochure since then.

Go easy on him. He's probably doing the best he can. C7Jake/K Hosler's posts, (even on Amazon -- see this forum post and this Amazon review to connect the dots between his alter-egos), demonstrate a limited ability to communicate and perhaps a relatively unidimensional thought process, thus his constant repetition of the same pics of his car and his regular re-use of reaction pics like the Picard hand-to-forehead shot. On the other hand, he does seem to have some strong opinions about Corvettes that can be worthwhile when he manages to be a bit more articulate. One of his two Amazon reviews, this one posted in 2007 on a book about Morocco, shows a bit more depth than he usually exhibits here. Hosler's usual brevity isn't exactly a bad thing if he manages to be helpful as he does in both of his Amazon reviews. (On Amazon he is not just brief but very rarely comments. His first review, on the Morocco book, is a bit wordier than his usual posts here but he makes up for it by not posting his second Amazon review until 2015, 8 years later. The second review is very short but does in fact get a useful point across.)
For the record, I'm of the opinion that a lot of his posts which come off as insulting only seem that way because he is using some kind of private language which may, at least in his mind, become a meta-language which keys each word or image to a vast array of subtle and not-so-subtle references that the rest of us are not privy to. Or at least it might do that if we only had a Rosetta stone so we could decode it. If we actually knew what he really meant, we would be in awe of his wit, his depth of knowledge and of course his all-around status as a superman.
And you have to admit, his use of the stolen image of Dos Equis' "The Most Interesting Man in the World" is way better than his previous avatar. Unfortunately, the Dos Equis image makes a statement that is too on-the-nose vs the more-subtle but nonetheless clear message delivered by the overly blow-dried Willem Dafoe photo. Maybe a Steve McQueen pic should make it into the lineup next.
Here are the full text of his Amazon reviews, to save the trouble of clicking on the links above:
On the book The Caliph's House: A Year in Casablanca, C7Jake/Hosler wrote: "After spending time in Morocco and doing business with a Moroccan, this book and Shah's writing of his experiences has helped me to better understand some of my own experiences and appreciate my role in learning about the culture. It is a current, true to life, mostly lighthearted look into today's Moroccan culture. It is a fast read and one I would say for anyone thinking of visiting Morocco or wanting to know about the culture, it would be well worth the investment of time."
His second review, for the Zone Tech Three Pocket Mesh Storage Net - Black Mesh Three Pocket Trunk Cargo Organizer reads "Fits perfect in the back of a corvette c7 coupe."

I'm fairly certain that he is satirising and mocking forum members. I find him quite amusing and look forward to his posts. Take him as you want. Personally, I don't mind being made fun of.

Melting Slicks
I'm confused, which is pretty common for me.
So the Pickard was aimed at the OP or Chevrolet recycling pics that are no longer accurate of the current product? I thought the latter.

Good catch Corgidog1.
But I think that many here miss out on some of C7Jake's humor. Although at times a bit abrasive, most times his satire is good.
Just get tired of the photos of his car....
just for you C7Jake

I enjoy his posts and think they have been helpful to many on here. I don't even know him.
For those of you that seem to have a need to know, the tire cracking thread on here has a pic of tires taken in the back of a pickup which has a reflection in the rear window of, quite possibly, the elusive one in question. Just more fodder for those who have more time than I.
And I have the brochure and the pic in question is not that big of a deal.

Jake is like that family member we in the southern states of the U.S.A. call "eccentric", and bring him out at all of our family get together's. It's like saying, "He's ours, and you can't have him".
