Default 2017 Corvettes Released for Shipping!

So far, we have 41 built and sitting in the yard with 96 more being built THIS WEEK!

Imagine how happy I was to just get notification that 2 full truck loads (22 cars total) just left Bowling Green on their way to Atlantic City!

[EDIT - There are 3 full trucks on the way as of today for a total of 33 cars.]

I'm guessing they could be here late tomorrow or early Wednesday, but that's only a guess since I haven't spoken to either driver.

Before you get to excited, my guess is that since I haven't been invoiced for any yet, these cars probably will not have window stickers so they won't be able to be sold yet.

But, at least you'll be able to come in and see some new Grand Sports in person!

Dave

Any idea when those cars were built though? June 24? July 11? Or later? Or a mix of it all?

All cars leave the plant via auto transport (11 per truck). Cars being shipped by rail are carried 11 at a time to Toledo, Ohio, where they are then loaded onto the rail cars. The determining factor at the plant on when a car leaves on a transport is the availability of space on a truck going to a specific location, like Toledo, or to a specific dealership, or to a specific state or region.

Thanks Jeremy. I guess I'll find out tomorrow (atleast the status code usually changes the next day) if mine shipped today.

Hi Dave! I'm guessing it's because you order so many cars that 22 coming off the line on a single day could go to Kerbeck?

Well, they try to fill the trucks up with cars all going to the same general area. With 41 cars there, they can fill up a few trucks (11 each) with cars coming here and that's a fast turn around for the drivers since it's only 1 stop.

Are these just the cars going to Kerbeck? Is it safe to assume there are more than 33 cars shipping out today when accounting for other dealerships too?

Those are 33 coming to Kerbeck. I'm sure there are others that left today but I can only see ours.

As soon as they are here AND invoiced. They are probably showing on the site now as inbound but window stickers won't work till the cars are in our stock.
