Question:: If you have mounted a radar detector directly under your rearview mirror with a Blendmount, does it interfer with your GPS causing it to "drop out" for a short period of time? Thank you for your comments.

I have a Max 360 on the Blendmount and mine doesn't.
Your radar detector is a receiver, not a transmitter....so there is no RF being transmitted to interfere with any other receiver such as your GPS....the frequency separation is so great that even if the radar detector did emit RF it wouldn't cause an issue.
GRG is saying that his radar detector is one that uses a GPS signal (like the Escort 9500ix), and that the detector is periodically losing that signal. Correct, GRG?
If so, as mentioned, the longer arm from Bledmount should fix that

Known issue. Per Escort, the dropout issue is a result of the Blendmount bracket partially obscuring the GPS receiving antenna on the 360. In order to resolve, first confirm with Blendmount that you have the longest bracket arm they offer. Once you have confirmed and tried that, if you still have the dropout problem, you will want to install a GPS repeater/amplifier. You can find them for about $50 on Amazon. If you would like tips on the repeater installation, please search my post from about 8 months ago on the same topic. Good luck!
9500ix, lose gps every now and then, maybe once in a day for a minute or two.
Got it, I have the 9500ix also; if buildings, trees, tunnels or hills get in the way of enough satellites, I will loose GPS signal also....but then once in a while, it will seem to loose signal for no reason but regains it quickly.
Got longer arm today and installed. The longer arm are is 1 1/4" longer then the one it replaces. Going for a ride this afternoon to see if it made any difference.
Do you have PDR? That spot looks like it would be in the way of the camera. My dealer put my inspection sticker in that area and blocked half the camera. and this was the 2nd largest dealer of vettes.
