Remember that if it is plugged it loses its speed rating. It may still be fine at high speeds, but you're not supposed to run it at high speeds anymore.

If in the center should be possible having one "plug/patch" done on the tire. However that requires removing the tire from the rim. Even our large Chevy, BMW, Mercedes dealer in town has wide run flats changed/repaired by the only place I let touch my tires, the local Firestone dealer. They have 12 bays, some 20 mechcanics and a touch-less tire machine. Even then only ~2 of the mechcanics do the wide low profile tires. It's not easy! Check to see that where you plan to take it has the right equipment and skills. Even a trained C7 mechanic would not do enough tire changes to match someone who does more frequently, IMO.

Check the Tirerack website and see who they have as an authorized installer in your area and call a few and ask about your tire size. You can also check their price for a new tire if that is needed.

Plug Patch

I have plugged my run flats multiple times on my two C6s and went on to drive them for another 15,000 to 20,000 miles until they were worn out normally. No issues at all.

Center of tire, just get it plugged properly with this:

And for the reduction in "speed rating', is a maximum of 130 mph steady going to cramp your style?

It should be okay to plug if the puncture is in the center of the tread.

You may not be a "cheap" one, but your post makes you sound like one.

With a puncture in the middle, a proper patch applied to the inside of the tire will be fine. It will be entirely safe for street use.

How old are you? 17 and driving your daddy's car?

I've been driving sports cars since 1960.

As others have said I've plugged tires and gone another 20,000+ miles -

Oh, and I may be 74 but both my C7 and my Ferrari regularly see XXX in speed...

It's a run flat. Worst case scenario is the plug comes out and the tire slowly loses air and guess what . . . . it can run flat. How about that. Plug it, I just plugged mine yesterday. Damn rain storm pushed all the nails on the shoulder into the street. I had two nails in one tire!!!
