Default Body work needed

Unfortunately, my C7 2014 slipped off one of the attached rubber pucks that fit on the underside of the car resulting in slamming on the end part of the jack- the resulting damage is about 2K plus I'll need a new side rocker cover. I'm likely going to wait till the racing season is over. Who does good work, I mean "great glass work" in the Baltimore area. The color is Daytona gray. They have to replace the bottom rocker panel and a there's a slight crack on the bottom trailing edge of the passage fender. They explained that they might need to paint the finder and door to properly match??? not sure if this is required but they will have to clear coat the fender and door. Any advice and who would you recommend to do the work. Thanks in advance. DrDavid121

Why not take it to your local Chevy dealership? Surely that have a good repair department. If not I assume they could make a good recommendation. Good luck!

I took it over to Criswell and will likely have them do the work, I hope they can blend the paint so it's undetectable.

Wow, really sorry to hear that. I know just how hard it is to replace the aperture panel (rocker). My research on that area turned up lots of examples where the damaged area was repaired at a fraction of the cost of replacing the entire aperture. I would at least consider that, and I would start by looking around for any reputable corvette custom shop or corvette club. They will know who is best in your area for that kind of work. Good luck with it!

Roughly how much for the entire aperture. I've got several rock pits started in my 15,000 mile C7

Its about a $600 part, but the real expense, as you know, will be body shop labor to install it. They will need to remove several other body and trim panels to get to the aperture. Plus painting.
