Dariodelconte-I had to go back and take a closer look. Sure enough, there was the bar. And when I zoomed in, could even see a few bottles of adult libations. When I get my garage finished AND my GS has been delivered and parked, I'll post a picture!

I did. Thought maybe you used it to softly brush off the dust on the car! (Just kidding)

You know, that's a Great idea I could start using him for dusting off my car he is super soft got to try this I just hope I don't **** off all the animal lovers out there. About time the little bastard earned his keep. I just gotta figure out a way after I'm finished with him , and Hes all dirty ,to run Him through the wash machine.

Originally used as a marker in racing... the intent is for pit people to distinguish the team racecars... Now today the brilliant thought occurred to the people at Corvette Racing.... "Let's have each car painted a different color!".... BRILLIANT.

Bought mine used and it didn't have them. If it had, I'd probably have left them (although depending on the color, I might not have signed on the dotted line). Thought briefly about adding them, but decided I like it better without them. TMI?

Hmm, a race tam can't do that! Sponsored Richard Petty for 15+ years. When his sponsor was STP no question what the car colors would be!

Bought mine used as well. Didn't have them, but did have the Jake stinger stripe. Love it just the way it is.

Funny when I got my Grand Sport thought as a tribute to Zora's '63/'64 Grand Sport race cars I'd add fender strips. In my case would have the painted and clear coated like the flames on my street rod- no vinyl stick-ons.

Then did my research and found Zora's original Grand Sport Race Cars did not use fender strips. The above one in blue pic also does not have fender strips! Pics below are from those cars at races.

Jim Hall and Rodger Penske were two of the original drivers.

My fender strips would have been made with paint and a painted pinstripe on one side and bottom. Like my street rod the pinstripe would be done with paint, covered with 1/8" tape before the fender strip paint color was sprayed. Then masking removed and the fender clear coated. Can't fell my flames.

I have mixed feelings on hash marks. They were not used on GM's racing machines and instead originated with Shelby Cobras to tell their cars apart as they approached the pit. Thus they do not belong on a Corvette.

They were later a GM marketing gimmick put on the 1996 Grand Sport, even though hash marks have nothing to do with GM (They were unnecessary; Grand Sports were normally raced by different teams, all wearing different colors. It was easy to tell the cars apart.) Then the marks started showing up on everything with any sort of sporting pretension. We now see them on Honda Civics.

But if you are going to add them to your car, make them bright/contrasting and visible. The purpose was to make the car easily distinguishable from its stablemate. And consider only one stripe, or put on three, so your car is actually recognizably different.
