Flashing where? Sometimes my garage door doesn't open on the first push of the HomeLink button, but the light in the door opener drive unit will flash. When that happens, it just means the transmitter and receiver are out of sync (rolling code), but the next push of the HomeLink button makes the door open.
Mine broke also, button got stuck. They had to replace the visor. I think it was a $250 part
. It was covered under warranty . New one acts like it will get stuck also. Nothing new to program

There is a small red led on the visor that indicates it is transmitting information. It does not flash when I use the center button. The led flashes when I press the outside buttons. It has been getting so lately that I have to be sitting in front of the door with my nose almost touching the door to get the door to respond. The button appears to be depressed and stuck. It is not a sync problem. It is a "Not transmitting" problem.
Car goes to the dealer on Monday. I'll probably have to make a 2nd trip if they don't have one in stock.
