I've been calling around trying to find a dealer that has the digital angle gauge & bracket to check/set the rear caster.
I called the second Hendrick dealer today after never hearing back from the first one. Gave the year/model and the GM tool part #s.
After being put on hold, I was told 'they don't have the tools, and I don't need it adjusted because I have a solid rear axle.'
I thought for a moment about debating, but just said 'thank you' & hung up.
GM service sucks a**.
If anyone has these tools, I'd gladly provide my credit card # or send a PayPal deposit to use them on loan for an alignment, sending them back promptly!
Maybe if you post on this forum what area you live in and if anyone knows a dealer in your area that has a full service shop. I can tell you that my brother on his last trip down here to Florida had some car problems and he stopped at a dealership in the Raleigh NC area and they sent him to another dealer because they didn't have the tools to fix his Malibu.
Are your tires showing unusual wear or have you slid sideways against something and suspect an out of allignment condition. Rear suspension settings seldom change and the factory setting should last thousands upon thousands of miles. Reason dealers don't have the tool readily available.

I'm in Raleigh, NC.
I track the car a lot, and have AFE sways and the GM track alignment specs, but haven't been able to check the rear caster. The way the car is behaving under hard braking and over undulation at high speed lead me to believe this setting may be slightly off.
