Default Extra Top Questions

Thanks to HorHay86 I now have an extra solid roof panel on it's way to supplement my existing acrylic one. My C7 is a 2016 model year, and the top is from a 14 or 15 model year. It's my understanding that I may need to get some new pins (or are they collars that slip over them) that are supposed to eliminate any roof squeaks. Is that correct and if so does anyone know their part #?

Will also have to get it painted to match my blade silver. Thinking of perhaps just doing the rail, and then either painting the inner section a glossy black to match the rear lift back glass, or perhaps applying a sheet of some glossy black vinyl there in case I want to peel it off and revert back to all silver. Anyone tried that? If you used a vinyl wrap, where did you get it?

The bulletin for the top is in the sticky section, but here you go:

https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-bulletin.html

I didn't read it, I think it has p/n's in it. As for vinyl, I've bought 3M vinyl from Amazon and I've bought vinyl from a company called vivid vinyl before. I am by no means a vinyl pro, I was just playing around but they both seemed pretty good to me. Ymmv I guess.

My vinyl projects usually end up in a big wadded up ball in the trash. I would try vinyl before painting though. Good luck!
