Default My 2017 is here!

Got a call from my courtesy dealership that my 2017 3LT Z51 A8 just arrived. Paperwork hasn't been completed yet so I can't take it home with me, but hopefully SOON!

For those of you have have strong attention to detail... does the fitment on the door seem a little off to you? Here's a picture:

Beautiful Vette enjoy it. As for the door fitment hard to say from the picture, it sure is on that van.

Just looking at pictures of other cars yours doesn't look the same. I would compare it to others the dealer has or perhaps someone else can tell you more. I don't have a car yet! I will on the 17th the same color as yours!

That's a nice looking ride! Congrats!

It's impossible for me to tell about the door fitment from that photo. Just check it out thoroughly when you pick it up and point it out if it looks weird!

The lower door edges are all like that, if that's what you mean.

Oh really? From the picture it looks like it's not flush. Yours is like that too?

Yup, I have never seen one that looked any different. My dealer typically has 80 or so Vettes and they all look the same.

Likewise, was discussing this with Bui earlier and a friend of mine got a white Z51 recently too. His door doesn't look like that either.

What's the black thing stuck on the side of the door under where the handle is though? Is the door perhaps slightly ajar?

From this one picture, it really looks like the door is not seated right towards the lower end. Weird.

The lower door sil area does stand out somewhat, the lighting glare emphases this feature. I just checked my car and the lower door sil is the same. Don't pick your car apart via a picture, you are ruining your new car experience. Don't stress!!!!!

Perhaps this is the same issue the OP is referencing. Towards the bottom of the following link.
