Default Putting C7 Automatic in Neutral

Need Help!

I have checked the owners manual and can't seam to find how to put the car in neutral without starting the car. Does anybody know?

I believe the only way to move the shift lever out of park is to put your foot on the brake and start the engine. You can than move the lever to neutral, shut the engine off and restart it in neutral when you're ready.

If you press and hold the start button for 5ish seconds the car will go into service mode. That's the same as having the engine running. You can shift it then, just don't forget to turn the car off when you're done.

I believe you have to put in service mode, do not push the brake pedal and hold the start button for 5 seconds. Then you have to push the brake pedal to put it neutral.

If I recall correctly when I changed out the console, once in Neutral, the car will not shutoff service mode until you put it in park. So you dash will be all light up till it is happy in park.
