Is there a way to have the front camera come on automatically (other than going from reverse to first)?
I had an aftermarket camera installed on a pickup truck with a "Lockpick" device, and one of the setup options was to have the front camera come on anytime you are going less than 10mph. There are times when this option is annoying(like when you are at a stoplight and you are trying to look at the nav screen to know which direction to turn), but it is really convenient when you are trying to park.
I realize that you can press the camera icon on the screen to make it come on, but then you end up with a fingerprint on the touchscreen where the camera icon is, and it's driving me nuts!
I, for one, would hate to have the it come on whenever I was going 10 MPH or less. Think about it in stop and go traffic, where you might be diddling with the Infotainment system. Yuk!
Put the front camera icon on the top row of your display so it's handy.
Alas, with Android Auto on you have to either get out of AA to activate it or a simply microsecond in reverse will do.
With NavTool, you can press and hold the "back" button for three seconds to activate the front camera. Otherwise it'll turn on when you put it in drive after being in reverse (like when you're parking the car) and it'll turn off automatically at 10 mph.

The nav tool works like a champ for me same way here. Now that they got the bugs worked out of it... well worth it for the 2014 guys in here.

You wouldn't like driving with me, I touch the screen quite often to get the information or radio selection I want. After a road trip my screen is really a mess. Oh well!
