What is the USB connector for on the back of the instrument panel?

I think that there is some confusion on the question I'm asking. I'm referring to the instrument cluster USB connection. If you remove the instrument panel from the vehicle, on the back next to the standard connector that has the speedometer wire, the data bus, and whatever else, there is a mini B USB connector there. What does that go to?
