Looking to get in to a Z06 and wanting to know the biggest advantage of going with the 3LZ package? I have looked at the build it page on chevrolets website and its a bit confusing.
Also if anyone can explain Penfeds payment saver I would appreciate it. I am curious to know the residuals they have for both 36 and 60 months for comparisons.
I went with the 3LT. The interior is beautiful. I would have gone with a 1LT until I test drove a 3LT, saw the interior, and turned on the vented seat in the 94 degree weather. Sold. The other benefit that I love is the heads up display with the speed limit. The speed limit shown is mostly accurate and you need the navigation from the 3LT, or 3LZ in your case, to get this.
Only real advantage is that of a full leather interior, dash, door panels and seat inserts are Napa leather, it is a nicer feel and the smell is better. You get a couple of other items with 3lz, the micro fiber suede upper trim (pillars and headliner), PDR and Nav are also standard in the 3lz package.
If you have the money to spend I believe that the 3lz interior upgrade is worth it, looks better, feels better and smells better. Kind of finishes out the car, would make a hell of a GT car.
Others will say that the 2lz is the best value, but hey, your getting a Z06...why scrimp?
I presently have 3LT, beautiful, as they say full leather, then the color of the glove compartment merges with the passenger side door (red) while the aluminum on the driver's side merges with that door. Really a nice touch. The other benefits are already described. I order a '17 Z 06 and no doubt in my mind, went with the 3LZ, this time I ordered black rose metallic convertible with the kalahari leather.
Is there a way to know exactly what trim package I have ? Maybe within VIN ?
If you don't have heated / ventilated seats you have a 1LT / 1LZ.
If you have heated ventilated seats but do not have navigation you have a 2LT / 2LZ.
If you have heated / ventilated seats and the "AIRBAG" notation above the glove box looks like a black rectangular piece that is adhered to the dash you have a 2LT / 2LZ.
If your "AIRBAG" label above the glove box is embossed directly into the leather you have a 3LT / 3LZ.
I am under the assumption I got screwed on this so called leather. It turns out that when I took it in to a leather shop the owner shared with me that it is plasticized leather. What gives here? He said what ever I do, don't use anything but water to clean it.
