Default Mudflaps

On the grand sport there's a mudflap that's integrated into the front wheel well of the car. Has anybody tried our find any interest in seeing if that front mudflaps would work on the wheel well of the back of the car?

It doesn't fit, the rears are a lot bigger. These might work:

I had the GM Splash Guards painted by RPI Designs and installed on my GS.

They are not very big, but combined with Xpel everything helps.

It is not a "mudflap", it is actually what is the outside of the front fender - that what happens when you put wider tires on the same fender as the regular car - I never understood why the Z06/GS don't have their own wider front fenders instead of those add-ons?

Same here, they do provide some protection.

They are called "spats" and are for the wider front wheels in Z06 and GS. Also agree with your comment, don't understand why they would not opt for a new set of front fender molds!

This "cheap" approach was fine for my 1974 Jeep Renegade, but expect more for a Vette. However like "Camaro" taillights versus the hoped for round, they will grow on me and certainly won't stop my GS upgrade!

In fact the taillights did not take long for me to agree they integrated better in the C7. GM no doubt looked at the wider fender option. You know I really liked that V8 Jeep, that I installed the first wide radial tires, headers, low restriction mufflers, etc.

Spats were fine on my '74 Jeep but NOT on a sports car!

I haven't gotten my car yet it's still in the building process. With that being said I haven't had a chance to examine that very closely yet but just curious if you could add that to the back fender for additional production

No. The front and rear wheel well openings are different. You can't put the Z06/Grand Sport front fender "spats" on the rear wheel wells.

Many of us have added the GM Splash Guards. They are inexpensive and look fine. The rears are effective. The front are not but side skirts have kept my rocker panels looking new. Not sure if the GM splash guards fit the GS.

Rear Splash Guard Work, Front Not Effective to Protect Rocker Panels Need Side Skirts
