Default Anyone used a Water Blade to dry your car? What do you use?

Heard good things about these, but have always thought they might scratch the paint. I have used The Absorber rubber squeegee for years. Anyone used one, thoughts?

I've used them on other cars and the silicon blade works nicely, but I prefer to use a leaf blower, which works much better.

California Water Blade, only one to use. Used them for a long, long time. I have bought other brands and they are terrible. I think the company is out of business and the "CWB's are out of production. You see them on ebay sometime but most that have them wont part with them. After I CWB then I break out the Toro leaf blower. Will not hurt your car.

I used to use one for years. Never had any issues or scratches. All my Vettes have been black.
Ditto on the leaf blower.

Had one of those and you do need to be careful not to allow any dirt to get in the path as you sweep. I use an 8 HP Master Blaster now. Extremely powerful and easy. No-touch drying with heated air. I use deionized water to rinse to prevent spotting also since our water here is very heavily laden with minerals.

I have one of these and this is what I would use if I were going to use a leaf blower - very powerful, light and the air is clean.

I use a leaf blower because it won't scratch the car and it removes all the water around the seals and edges of the back window.

Waffle weave microfiber towel, wash the car so you sheet the water off and one towel will do it.

Don't care for the blade, myself. It's hanging up in the garage as a piece of art, now.

Use a good MF cloth. Spritz a bit of detail spray for lube and go for it.

I've used water blades for a few decades. Five Corvettes and every DD. Keep them clean, and they are a nice tool in the car washing kit. Like others have mentioned, I also use an air compressor to blow out the hard to dry stuff.

I've used them on quite a few cars, even my H2...that thing was a pain to hand wash.

Like the someone else said, make sure it is clean before you use it or you'll scratch the car up real bad.

Deionizer. I have to get this as water spots are worse than the dirt

I use an Absorber synthetic chamois to dry my cars. Works very well and lasts for a long time. Keeping them clean is of course important.

Recent convert here. Blade with micofiber towel backup really reduced the numer of towels used during a wash. I do keep the blade really clean between uses.

Default Drying car

I use to use a water blade..but I was never comfortable with it--I was always afraid of getting something under the blade and making a scratch.

Now I take the top off of my shop vac and reverse the flow and blow dry the car...works great!

135 mph does a nice job of drying.
