Default Battery Hole!

Shouldn't there be a door and not just carpet over the open hole?

I have a styrofoam(?) pad covering my battery and the carpet lays against that. Don't you have the styrofoam piece?

Yes, I've thought the same thing. An access door for the battery, such as that used in the C6 Z06, would make getting to it much easier. Not sure why that feature was discontinued.

Was discussing this with my mechanic on Thursday while doing my oil change and air bag recall. It's rediculous the way you have to dig up the carpet and and bend it out of the way to expose the battery. While on the opposite side there is a nice little access cover to get to the storage area that has no real purpose

While they are at it, how about access to the fuse box!

Exactly I thought the door was missing or something. I felt like I was going to damage the carpet bending it like that.
