I heard that to protect the hundreds of corvettes in stock from rain in the outdoor lots that Kerbeck might be building an industry 1st kerbeckdome so the elements never touch the cars...... I guess they will be able to make deliveries on a daily basis now with it.... Rain or Shine.... Some people are just crazy in their head how they treat their bundle of joy!!
Took my wife to a show last night in the new corvette, and we had to drive through a small shower on the way home. And, this morning, since it was already ruined, I purposely drove to a appointment in a steady rain.
If I ever had to sell my car in the future, how would I ever compete in the market loaded with garage queens??
I guess this means I'll have to drive it as much as possible, to truly enjoy this awesome sports car!
I feel your pain. Ran into a similar situation once when my car's ashtray became filled. We all know what happens then. Sell the car, take the loss, and start over. Good luck.
Shhhhhh.....don't let 'em know we live in the absolute best part of the country...keep saying that the left coast is no more. Might keep 'em out a while longer....
ehh, where it rains 23 hours a day? No thanks! You have nothing to fear, there is a reason people aren't lining up to move to the "pacific northwest"
I'm hosed I drive my cars everyday in all weather. But no dealer has ever asked me if it saw the snow and salt when I trade it off.
Picture #1 is at work a few winters ago. Picture 2 and 3 are in the driveway........ I don't believe in shoveling snow I am patient to wait for it to melt. I drive the SUV over it and smoosh it down then the cars don't bottom out.
In Picture #2 when backing in the vette at the end of the driveway I missed and got I buried in that rut and also rolled over the driverway marker.
You would be amazed how well these cars do in the snow.
I want to get my moneys worth out of weather mode!!!!!!

The shower will not be the reason for low resale .... that wonderful tranny ...is going to do a real tap dance on the resale ...
Believe it or not, your Vette was ruined before you got it, as it comes off the assembly line, it goes to water test, 26,000 gallons of water dumped on it before it rolls outside. I watched the water test at the plant, unbelievable it did not melt, I was mesmerized.
You guys are missing the point about a car not being driven in the rain. It's not the rain itself, but the road grime that coats the undercarriage and engine bay of the car.

I don't think anyone is missing the point.
Some of us prefer to ignore the point, because driving it it more fun than not. So what if we get caught in some rain? It's still fun. I've never heard of someone's underside rusting out from it. Most of us don't show the cars, so it doesn't really matter to us.
However, we do appreciate those Corvettes which never see the outside of the garage if there is a cloud in the sky. These make the best used cars. Low milage, pristine; what's not to like?
also picked mine up in the rain last weekend, was a good idea to, the 60 mile drive home in the rain kept me under control and the break in period was met. but, it was 2 inches shorter when i got home.
No, you just felt 2 inches taller with your new corvette!
Congratulations.
John

Everyone has missed the OPs point.
The OP was being sarcastic, basically poking fun at garage queens.
Those of us who don't drive in the rain and have boast about it in the past seem to have gotten under his skin.
