Sure, seeing as I purchased points for my c7 purchase. You have to find someone on the forum that is offering points for sale. Or ask if anyone is selling their points in the for sale section. If they are selling that means they can add you as user or benefactor on their card. They must have an older GM card that allows them to do so. I believe these were card that were issued 10 years ago or more. Some will offer to sell you their points for 50 cents on the dollar or 3000 points for 2K, or anywhere in between. The max points that can be used on a c7 purchase is 3000. I paid my seller via paypal. Once they receive the money they add you to their card via a phone call I guess just before you decide you're going to use them. They will then give you some basic info like last 4 digits of their card and zip code or something like that. You the give that info to your dealer, they run the card and deduct the points from that person's account. The seller will then remove you as a user on their account. Real easy way to save $1000-$1500. I don't believe I've seen anyone getting burned on here after purchasing points so you should be good.
